The Italian university is sick. The hegemony of baronial privileges, undermined by the proliferation of waste and use resources villain, disqualified from a race to the bottom in training, more and more distant from real life and the world of work.
The university also is sick of "iperpoliticità. Not in the sense of political commitment and more noble, but in the wake of ideological drift, from Sixty-eight, has burned so many generations and caused the failure with which confront us today.
The Italian university has to change. We want a university that functions, that has adequate resources, but above that knows how to use them rationally, avoiding waste and interpreting its mission to serve the students and the future of the country. We respect those who are protesting and expressing their dissent, when this is done within the law. However, we fear that the protests become, in fact, expressions of support towards those who have an interest in maintaining the status quo. And there seems almost irrational protest against measures which do not yet exist, and therefore can not be known.
We expect the same dignity and the same respect for people like us, considers it vital to a series of reforms, and welcomes the measures taken so far by the minister Gelmini on the school and intends to make a constructive contribution. And
expect dignity and respect for those who decide to build their future by continuing to take lessons and perform examinations regularly. This is a large silent majority, and will not allow their rights are trampled upon.
